Courage And Cancer Care

Recently I had the absolute pleasure of meeting up with my lovely client Alice at @buttercupsanddandelions on Insta to witness the moment she had her beautiful tresses cut in order to  donate them to The Little Princess Trust @officiallittleprincesstrust . This is a wonderful charity for whom she is also fundraising, as it provides real hair wigs, free of charge to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. They also fund childhood cancer research to help find kinder and more effective treatments to treat the disease.

Alice has always had beautiful long hair ever since I can remember, so it showed true courage and great trust in her amazing hairdresser, @hannahbonner_hair who cut her hair. But, I think you’ll agree, she is truly rocking this amazing bob!

And Alice's story is even more poignant when you know that she too is now embarking on her own cancer treatment.   That’s why I was especially grateful that I could be there for her, preparing her skin and doing her makeup with products specifically designed for those who are undergoing the rigours of cancer treatment.  At the time of these photos Alice hadn’t actually started her chemo treatment, so I was able to prepare her skin with Obagi Hydrate and then use the fabulous products from IS Clinical, a gentle brand specially formulated for those who are undergoing chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.

For makeup, I used the amazing Katherine Daniels,  a beautiful brand whose purity and gentleness, also make it perfect for cancer patients. For lashes, I’d recommend the great products from Revitalash, whose story began in 2006 with one product, the original lash conditioner, created by a physician to help his wife feel more beautiful during her long battle with breast cancer.

It truly was such an beautiful day, and I’d like to wish the awesome Alice,  great success with her fundraising endeavours and of course, wish her a VERY speedy recovery!  If you’d like to help Alice in her fundraising, please follow the link  https://www.justgiving.com/page/victoria-goodwin-1730317771849 .

And of course, if anyone else is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, please do reach out to me.  I have devised some beautiful, replenishing treatments specifically with you in mind and would love to support you. Have a look at my Cancer Care Harmony Facial now ...

Wishing you all a very positive week.

Carole xx
